A City Chic Dream

Michelle + Brent

THE DETAILS MATTER

Nothing feels better than when all the details come together to complete your perfect day! Michelle + Brent had to postpone their day (a few times) – thanks COVID. They hired + entrusted our Coordination + Design Team, Luna Wild, to execute Michelle’s vision. Michelle’s vision was a romantic mix from the whimsical touches of florals to the modern+minimalistic dinner set up. The pop of pink with the hue of sleek black really brought the space together. And nothing can really go wrong when you mix Native Poppy’s flowers with Disco balls, right?

THE DRESS THAT DESERVES A MOMENT OF ITS OWN

We love a dress that steals the show! Michelle had her mom purchase a dress with a matching cape. (how sweet!) This dress was absolutely timeless. The dress Michelle picked out for a wedding planned to be in April 2020 and somehow a year and a half later the dress still had the perfect elegant touch!

FLORALS BY NATIVE POPPY

FLORALS THAT STAND OUT

FLORALS THAT STANDOUT

A huge shoutout to Native Poppy for always going above and beyond with their florals. Any color scheme you can dream of, they bring the heat. Our Design team loves partnering with Native Poppy and seeing the creativity and artistic vision they bring. We absolutely swoon over the unique florals + ingredients they sourced for Michelle + Brent’s vision.

MAN OF HONOR AND BEST WOMAN

A very sweet moment that Michelle had her brother as her man of honor and Brent had his sister as his best woman. We love it when brides + grooms go against the norm and truly choose their ‘people’. After all this is YOUR day, and you get to pick who stands up at that altar supporting you.

WHAT IS MORE ROMANTIC THAN CUSTOM POETRY?

Want to have your guests experience something totally unique and totally romantic? Book @typewritertroubadour not only for you and your soulmate but for all your guests to enjoy! Michelle and Brent found Typewriter Troubadour at a local Farmers Market in Downtown San Diego. He brought such a personal and unique touch to the wedding and guests crowded his station, overlooking the harbor, to receive their own personalized poems. Your guests will go home with the most intimate ageless souvenir.

LET'S MEET ON THE TERRACE

The Lane offers the most breathtaking view from the terrace which sets the perfect scene for that special moment for the newlyweds. - Golden Hour session - so special to pull you two away for not only the perfect lighting but also a moment to step away and take a moment with your partner. The kind of natural lighting that photographers drool over. The perfect mix of a modern industrial and minimalistic loft style for this shoot. This is the moment and these are the pictures that capture that never-changing love you will always get to look back on.

LETS DINE THEN DISCO

An unforgettable night in the city filled with good food and good music. Michelle + Brent wanted their wedding to feel like an elevated dinner party and they nailed it. They nixed the formal dinner and opted for a relegated Taco Bar from MIHO followed by dancing and carne asada fries. Yep - we said it - dancing with carne asada fries. These two intentionally curated a day that reflected their love and we love to see couples use our blank slate venue to dream up a day unique to them.
