Building 177 - Danielle and Scott

SEPTEMBER 2021

THE DETAILS

Danielle’s + Scott’s details definitely want to make you smile. Our design team brought those eye popping colors to catch everyone’s eyes as they first stepped into Bldg 177 for the ceremony and then again for the unveiling of the reception. Our team worked hard, but had so much fun bringing the couple’s beachy tropical + boho vision to life! The wedding day is about more than just the details, but oh how satisfying when the details complement each other in the perfect way! Having the wedding be stunningly bright and uplifting and positive was the bride’s ultimate goal.

DESIGNING THE DREAM!

Let us take you on a fun journey down the making of this design. Keep scrolling to see a sneak peek into our design process and how we mock up our visions to help couples visualize their day.

The first step in creating Danielle + Scott’s design - making the design board.

We wanted to bring those bright tropical colors in and create pieces that captured Scott’s love for surfing & Danielle’s love for hot pink. We also wanted to bring in that sunshine yellow to resemble the couples warm, inviting, + happy personalities, and a little boho chic to wrap the design all together. With all of those ideas in place, we wanted the couple to visualize what their day would look like. So we made this board below. Scroll down to visualize for yourself too.

Then we started searching for the perfect design details & rentals that would give us that feel + elevate their look. Folklore Rentals + Catalog Atelier had the perfect rentals with pops of color + the pretty rattan details. Hostess Haven made all our dreams come true with the perfect hot pink napkins to give Danielle just what she wanted. Scroll down to see our mock up of their tablescape and lounge.

LET'S TALK ABOUT THESE COLORS

The bride was a big fan of hot pink which gave us lots of fun florals to choose from and a variety of unique flowers you don’t typically see at weddings. We knew Tiny Victories would kill this design and bring those floral touches we wanted to complete our full vision for the day. From the ceremony arch, to the hanging install, to the colorful tablescapes that filled Bldg 177’s blank white slate with pinks, yellows, oranges + tropical greens to transform the venue into a little slice of paradise. This dreamy design was very unique for the space but it definitely brought a huge wow factor. I must say, we were all very obsessed.

THE FOOD & COCKTAILS YOU’RE GUESTS WILL REMEMBER

When the bride says yes to a yellow cake. That is a big win! We love when we can add a few unique pieces that you don’t always see. It was fun mixing up the traditional white wedding cake with a bright yellow one. Sweet Cheeks Baking Co made this beautiful cake + mini desserts. I must say, they were a huge hit, but no shocker there. Guests cleared the platters and started cutting their own slices of cake within minutes.

Toast Catering also came to deliver and deliver in style. Just look at that delicious food.  You can never go wrong with salmon as an entree. But if you want your guests to really fall in love with the food, Toast’s mini kobe beef sliders are loved by all.

Last but definitely not least, Moniker Cocktail Co mixed up some tasty signature cocktails to keep the guests sipping & very satisfied. They were pouring our dreamy pink cocktail, Sunday Candy, all night. It was the perfect cocktail to match the theme of the wedding.

It was a team effort and everyone nailed the assignment, tasty treats + bright colors.

The Dream Day with the Dream Guy

We have never seen a wedding that compliments the couple so well. Danielle with her bright colors and southern charm paired with Scotts down to earth surfer vibe. They were all about sharing the positive vibes, and we think they nailed it! Mirelle Carmichael Photography did an absolutely amazing job behind the camera and captured their love so perfectly. We will forever be swooning over these photos & their love.
