Building 177 | Veronica + David

Happy Thursday, all! Hope you’re reading this blog post with happy feelings surrounding you. Today’s blog is featuring two of our absolute favorites: Veronica and David! These two hold a special place in our hearts as Veronica is a good friend of one of our team member’s - Aly! And, on top of that, Veronica + David are just two gems of humans who had to endure a lot of hardships (one word (that is technically three words combined, but let’s not actually get too technical here) - COVID) in order to get to their heartwarming, sunshine-filled, stunning wedding day. We are beyond happy to share more of this day with you and cannot wait for you to hear a little bit more about what Veronica + David had to say about it all, too.

Big shoutout to Kristina Moto for these unreal photos. She killed it, per usual.

Getting Ready | Veronica

The Bridal Suite at Building 177 can be opened as early as 9am on Fridays and Saturdays for the gals to get their ish done! Veronica had her makeup done by Makeup by Vanny and hair done by Gercy Galang - the ULTIMATE beauty team.

Veronica is already a stunner - her beauty squad just enhanced her beauty for her big day! Also - shout out to that bridal suite natural light. Perfect for all of your getting ready needs!

“Veronica, who designed your wedding dress?”

“Fun story - I found it in February of 2020, (pre-COVID / a month into our engagement) at the first shop my girls and I went to. I told the girls to find whatever dress they thought was worth me trying on, but to stay in range of my budget. My MOH came back with a few "dresses off the mannequins" just for fun and it ended up being “the one.” To this day I actually didn't know who the designer was until you prompted me to actually look (lol) - it's Enzoani!”

We spy a cute little suit for a cute little pup…

“…wait! is Moniker Events dog friendly?” you ask?

(As long as someone is watching/cleaning up after the cutie the whole time) :)

Heck yes.

This is Ninja. Ninja is a very important part of Veronica + David’s family and absolutely HAD to be a part of the big day! You will see him in a little bit looking dapper as hell.

When asked why she and David chose Building 177 as their venue, Veronica said, “We LOVED the space the first time we ever visited years ago and when we booked in January of 2020, we knew it would accommodate the
huge wedding (original guest count was 350, pre-Covid) we dreamt of. We also love the Moniker folks, special shout out to Aly Schengel! Everyone we worked with was so pleasant, patient, kind, responsive
and accommodating - it truly makes a difference in your experience.”

Getting Ready | David

The guys got ready in our Rosecrans Boardroom right across the way from Building 177! There, they got dressed (in probably less than 20 minutes, if we are being honest, but that’s neither here nor there), hung out, opened presents, prayed over David and spent sacred and intentional moments of brotherhood together before the big “I Do.” What more could someone want? These are the mundane moments of wedding days that end up being some of the most special.

Get it, guys.

What a good looking bridal party! Sporting their masks in proper 2020 fashion.

Ceremony

Florals bring life to any event. And let us tell you - you will want to bring Levant Lane to EVERY EVENT.

She is so good and will bring all of your floral visions to life and then some! These hanging pieces are to die for.

More of the florally goodness.

Dried florals + living buds will forever win.

Veronica and David opted for a side-facing ceremony in a half moon set up that was perfectly intimate and gave guests opportunity to spread out and sit with their immediate social circle. The end caps were lined with pampas grass (swoon) and the light perfectly shone in on the couple and guests - it was truly magical. Also, look at that stunning little floral arrangement on the communion table - Levant Lane just cannot lose.

The details of this day are so stunning..and some are very, 2020, too.

Feat the sweetest little flower girl ever!

The perfect social distanced ceremony for guests to feel comfortable! David + Veronica were so grateful that, despite the obstacles they faced trying to navigate hosting a wedding during a global pandemic, they still had an incredible support system carrying them through the threshold. “Our family, friends, and community truly rallied together to make the day happen. Not only did they logistically, but they also emotionally, spiritually, and mentally carried us to the finish line! Some of the people in our support system were also vendors - which made it even more special to collaborate with them. We appreciate the sacrifices everyone made with their time and resources to bless our marriage.”

To have and to hold, from this day forward.

sweet moments together.

Reception

When asked what they think their guests would be taking away from their wedding day for years to come, Veronica + David said, all in all, were feelings of love, positivity and an overwhelming sense of “normalcy” that many had missed/felt they had taken for granted pre-pandemic. Guests were very happy with all the precautions set into place to ensure their safety (i.e. masks, sanitizer stations and extra indoor and outdoor seating).
Lastly, guests especially loved the groomsman’s band that played during cocktail hour - shoutout The Brothers Galves!

The happiest little family

Ninja, veronica + David

Veronica and David took their honeymoon trip to Bora Bora, Tahiti (a total dream, right?). They had originally planned a trip to Europe,
which didn’t happen because of Covid. So, plans changed and they ended up on a dreamy tropical island instead - not a horrible second option!

Veronica and David are now expecting a sweet little baby in July! We love being a small part of our couple’s big day and also seeing where life takes them into
their happily ever after. Sending our best, always! Ninja is going to be the cutest big brother, ever.

A special thanks to all of the vendors who made this day so wonderful..
